This washed Robusta was processed at Kiyumba Washing Station in Muhanga district. The District of Muhanga is part of the southern province of Rwanda and offers ideal growing conditions for coffee with a subtropical climate and mountainous landscape. Founded in 2008, Kiyumba Washing Station is part of Impexcor, a family owned coffee producer. Smallholder farmers have joined together in cooperatives, which Impexcor helped to build up and supports with loans, fertilizers, seedlings and social engagement such as schools, health insurance, etc.
