BLEND

MEXICO & INDIA BLEND I DECAF I FTO

This blend combines our Mexican coffee from the Sierra Madre region of Chiapas with our Indian coffee from the Idukki region. Both coffees are processed using the washed method and are certified Fair Trade and organic. Thanks to this blend, we achieve a sweet and balanced cup with notes of roasted nuts from the coffees and malty undertones from the water decaf process. To maintain the quality of our coffees after the decaf process, we use the water decaffeination process. The water decaffeination process is a gentle decaffeination process that uses pure water to remove caffeine from green coffee beans. Water is used to extract the water-soluble substances, including caffeine, from the green coffee beans. The caffeine is extracted from the resulting suspension with the aid of activated carbon.
The decaffeinated suspension is then returned to the beans, which have undergone intermediate drying. The final drying process reduces the water content of the coffee beans back down to the original level.

After this process, the certified organic coffees retain their certification, as the decaffeination process used by COFFEIN COMPAGNIE is certified organic (EU and USDA), kosher, and halal.
