This organic certified Plantation A comes from the Idukki region near the city of Kerala and was processed by the Manarcadu Social Service Society (MASS), a cooperative that was founded in 2001. The cooperative, which now has 837 members, aims to help the community of farmers adapt to sustainable agricultural practices and thereby achieve a better livelihood while at the same time contributing to a better environment. This Plantation A consists the varieties Chandragiri and S795. Chandragiri is a farmer-friendly new Arabica variety that was developed from a cross between Villa Sarchi and Hibrido deTimor and is characterized by larger beans and better quality in the drink compared to other Arabica varieties.
